It seems to me people act like they've got it figured out these days. They write notes on their Facebook pages justifying their religion, they tell themselves what is okay and what isn't, and they think they know what something is by testing the waters, without really diving into it.
I have been guilty of this before, and still am sometimes, but that's apart of being human. Isn't it? I guess justifying the things you believe in, and even the core of yourself, makes you feel remotely satisfied with the not so satisfying sense of life we so often have.
I've come to a realization though, that has helped me accept the sometimes harsh realities that are handed to us daily: To not give a shit. At least, about the bullshit.
Sure we can be concerned and frustrated, but I think there is a difference with being concerned and then taking something to heart.
There are more important things to think about. Like real relationships. The ones with a foundation. The people who you love, and who you would do anything for.
It also seems like people have qualities of an elitist. We have to belong somewhere, in some kind of a group, we have to think a certain way. I've come to know a lot of people who have become this way, so much so, that they forget about loving others.
We are not perfect, I am reminded of that daily, but we have to hope. We have to believe. We have to care about each other, in every sense.

I agree with you very much. You know, I think people want so much to belong to something because it gives them a purpose. We all want to believe we have a purpose, and like you said I think it's only human to be that way. But when we pretend that we know everything it doesn't make us anything special. Life is about learning and about accepting our weaknesses, and trying to be better today than we were yesterday. I feel your frustrations, but I am human too and I make the same mistakes as everyone else. It's a confusing world we live in, but I don't really want to think about it.
