Art and Design in Contemporary Society

So I'm in the cool "lounge" we have on the upper level of my school, watching people sleep on couches, study on computers, and the only sixteen year old (who is a pill to most)at my school, Malcolm, "try" to play pool with people he doesn't even know (who are seniors I might add).
I am sitting on a mushroom chair trying to be distracted by all of this to not feel annoyed about a presentation I have to do for my next class, Art and Design in Contemporary Society, or as most of us call it, "ADCS: the disease class". Yes that was a long sentence, almost as long as this three hour long class, and continually babbling teacher.
I have to say, normally I love learning, but not so much in this class. I still don't even know entirely what its about, and why I have to take it. I have however, after the last couple classes come to grips that maybe the class is simply just what the title says it is, But to demonstrate my point, I want you to think of the first thing that comes to your mind when I say the title again.

ART AND DESIGN IN CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY.
Should I repeat it (try saying that five times fast)?
Stingy? yes. Very.
